We are seeking a senior professional with a Master’s degree and at least 12 years of relevant experience, including strong leadership experience and a proven track record in designing, implementing and evaluating labour and skills programs, particularly in development contexts for the Lead Labour and Skills position.
Strong research, policy, stakeholder engagement and strategic leadership capabilities are essential; experience in Indonesia and/or labour economics is highly desirable.
The Lead Labour and Skills will provide strategic and technical leadership for Prospera Phase 2’s labour and skills agenda, supporting the Government of Indonesia to advance efficient labour markets, a productive workforce, and inclusive and sustainable economic growth. Reporting to the Senior Portfolio Director – Markets, Investment and Jobs, the role will lead strategic initiatives and work closely with Indonesian Government counterparts, DFAT, Australian Public Service partners, development organisations, businesses and other stakeholders.

This senior leadership role will provide strategic direction and oversight across four key areas: Sustainable Partnerships, Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL), Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI), and Communications, Knowledge Management & Learning. The successful candidate will play a critical role in strengthening Prospera’s performance, building effective partnerships, embedding inclusion across the program, and supporting high-quality engagement with government, donor and other key stakeholders.
We are looking for a collaborative, evidence-driven leader with extensive senior-level experience in complex development programs, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and demonstrated expertise across performance, partnerships, MEL, GEDSI and/or communications. Experience working in Indonesia or Southeast Asia and with DFAT-funded programs will be highly regarded.
The Senior Adviser – Digital Strategy will lead the development of Prospera Phase 2’s digital strategy and delivery approach to support Indonesia’s digital transformation agenda across digital infrastructure, digital government, digital economy, and digital society. The role will provide strategic advice, design appropriate governance and delivery structures, and lead consultations with DFAT, Government of Indonesia counterparts, Australian Public Service partners, and development partners. The ideal candidate will bring senior-level experience in digital transformation, digital government or public sector reform, together with strong strategic, analytical, stakeholder engagement, and institutional design capabilities.
The Economist delivers high-quality economic analysis and insights to support Prospera Phase 2's economic development objectives in Indonesia. This role focuses on macro fiscal finance, providing evidence-based recommendations that inform program strategy and policy decisions. The Economist engages with local stakeholders, interprets complex economic data, and ensures that Prospera's initiatives align with Indonesia's economic landscape.
Day-to-day, the Economist combines technical expertise with practical problem-solving to navigate the dynamic economic environment. Reporting to the Lead Macro, this role collaborates closely with other economists in Financial Sector Team and Fiscal Team, and other stakeholders to deliver impactful results. The ideal candidate brings enthusiasm, a commitment to continuous learning, and innovative thinking to drive Prospera's mission forward.
